Help Piece Together 100 Years of Perth’s Property History

10/09/2012

Residents of some of Perth’s oldest suburbs including Mt Lawley, Maylands, Bicton and Bull Creek are being invited to help piece together some of the city’s property history and help mark the centenary of one of our oldest property firms.

With four generations of family leadership and almost 100 years creating residential communities across Perth, Richard Noble and Company has a compelling story to tell – but it doesn’t have the full story!

“We’re preparing to celebrate our centenary in 2013 and we’d love to hear from anyone who might have bought or sold with us, worked with us, or come into contact with Richard Noble and Company in any way at all,” said fourth generation Managing Director and former UDIA WA President, Alex Gregg.

“We are asking people who have been involved with the Company to come forward and share their stories, photographs and memorabilia, helping us to capture key moments in our history,” he said.

“All contributions would be most gratefully received – it might be historic marketing material, an old contract or correspondence, old newspaper clippings, maps, plans and photographs in our best established residential estates.

“It would also be terrific to hear from anyone who might simply have an interesting story to share as a customer or team member at Richard Noble and Company,” said Mr Gregg.

Richard Noble and Company will mark their centenary in 2013 with a series of celebratory events for friends and associates of the firm – past and present – and residents of some of their newest residential communities which are spread from Hammond Park to Lesmurdie.

Some of their history will also be captured in a book being put together with the benefit of research and Michael Gregg’s memories, father of Alex and third generation Managing Director of the business.

“Thanks in advance to everyone who can make a contribution to this important milestone,” said Alex Gregg.

“I hope there are a few gems in the community that find their way to us and help us re-live some of the rich history we’ve helped create in different parts of Perth.”
